Personal Data Collected

I collect your personal data when you submit one of my website’s contact forms, as well as when you make a purchase. Your personal information collected includes your name, email address, phone number, physical billing and shipping addresses, along with your preferences for completing custom mala orders. I use your info to contact you regarding your mala questions and orders, as well as send you your products.

I collect information about you during the checkout process on my online store.

While you visit my site, I track:

  • Products you’ve viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type
  • Shipping address

I use cookies to keep track of your shopping cart contents while you’re browsing the website.

When you purchase from me, I’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. I use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and order
  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Set up your account for my store
  • Comply with any legal obligations I have, such as calculating taxes
  • Improve my store offerings
  • Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

If you create an account, I will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

I generally store information about you for as long as I need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and I am not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, I will store order information for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address, billing and shipping addresses, and purchase details.

I also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.


When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies - Contact Forms / Login Forms

If you leave a comment on my website, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit my login page, the website will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, the website will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Cookies - Analytics & Tracking

This website has Google Analytics tracking code installed, as well as the Facebook Pixel. Both organizations track information related to the traffic on this website for the purposes of tracking and reporting the following: demographics and interests, impressions and conversions, and remarketing/retargeting. I do not have access to any details regarding specific, individuals, identities and/or information. The information utilized and provided to me by Google Analytics and Facebook is in generic format to assist with better ads targeting or improved website/online development and performance.

Security Logs

The IP address of visitors, user ID of logged in users, and username of login attempts are conditionally logged to check for malicious activity and to protect the site from specific kinds of attacks. Examples of conditions when logging occurs include login attempts, log out requests, requests for suspicious URLs, changes to site content, and password updates. This information is retained for 60 days.

Who I share your data with


I accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

I submit your data to Canada Post to complete your order. 

How long I retain your data

If you leave a comment on this website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on my website, I store your submitted personal information in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. 

Security logs are retained for 60 days.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data held about you, including any data you have provided. You can request that I erase any personal data held about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, tax, or security purposes.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

How your data is protected

I protect your data by keeping this website updated regularly, including the WordPress core, themes and plugins. I also have a security plugin installed on this website to provide an additional and enhanced layer of website security.

In the event that this site comes under attack and personal information of registered users / or customers is compromised I will make it my first priority to send an email advising of such. 

Updates and changes to my privacy policy

I reserve the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by giving notice to its Users on this web page. It is recommended to check this page often, referring to the date of the last modification listed at the top. If a User objects to any of the changes to the Policy, the User must cease using this Application and can request that I removes his or her Personal Data that is under the direct control of me. Unless stated otherwise, the then-current privacy policy applies to all Personal Data I have about my Users.
